With the development of Internet, people can get to know the instant news and see what happens around the world. We hear about the bad news about teenager’s wrong behavior now and then, the biggest is about a teenager insulted a girl and got arrested. The whole world is watching the case, because the teenager is born in a rich family. Teenager has been criticized for their lack of moral consciousness, before the case, not a lot of people r ealize teenager’s moral problem. Now, the society calls for the parents to take care about the moral education. Parents start to do self-examination, they know they focus too much on the work; they need to spend more time to be with their kids, teaching the children what is right and what is wrong. In order to foster the kids with moral idea, they tell them what they should do and what they should avoid. With these ideas, the teenagers will not against the law.
随着网络的发展，人们能够知道最新新闻，世界发生了什么事。我们时而不时地听到关于青少年不良行为的新闻，最轰动的是关于一个青少年凌辱一个女孩而受到逮捕。全世界都在关注这个案子，因为这个青少年出生在一个富裕的家庭。青少年被指责缺少道德意识，在这个案子之前，并不是很多人意识到青少年的道德问题。现在，社会呼唤家长关注青少年的道德教育。家长开始自我反省，他们知道自己太过于投入工作，需要花多点时间陪孩子，教育他们什么是对错。为了培养青少年的道德观，他们告诉孩子什么该做和什么该避免。有了这些教育，青少年就不会违法了。

On December 22, 2013, the day is the Winter Solstice, it is an important day in China, it becomes a tradition. More than 2500years ago, Chinese people had detected this day by measuring the sun. What is special on the day? The answer is that the daytime lasts the shortest while the night lasts the longest of the year. Nowadays, football has become one of the most popular entertainment sports for human beings. In the daily life, people ranging from kids to adults play football when they have spare time. It is because of the demonstration of students in December 9th, 1935. Under the leadership and organization of China Communist Party and leadership, Peiping Students Federation leading the students in Peiping city, which was more than 6000 held demonstrations. The students shouted the slogans of “overthrow Japanese imperialism,” "stop the civil war, and close ranks". Their demonstration resulted in a new upsurge of nation-wide Anti-Japanese Democratic Movement. In order to memorize this student movement, the United Nations made December 9th as World Football Day in 1978.

It was already late when we set out for the next town, fifteen miles away on the other side of the hills. It got dark soon; we drove fast along the narrow winding road that led to the hills. We couldn't identify any sign of the town marked on the map. Suddenly the car stopped. We had run out of petrol. Therefore, although we had little food with us, we decided to spend the night in the car.

Our meal finished very soon. I went to sleep at once. But my companion Bill who was a poor sleeper went for a walk up the hills. From the top of the hill he saw the lights of the town we were looking for. We unloaded all our luggage and pushed the car to the top of the hill at once. Then we went back to the luggage, loaded the car again and set off down the hill. We reached the town less than a quarter, and found a hotel quite easily.

Now people in significant numbers are beginning to compare themselves with others. They harbor the idea that comparison can not only make them realize the differences between them and others, but also make them strive. They retreat surpassing others as success.
现在很多人都拿自己和别人比较。他们怀着这样的想法，对比不仅能让他们意识到自己与他人之间的差异，也能使他们更加努力。他们把超越他人作为成功。
Opinions vary from person to person. Some people take the attitude that comparing ourselves with others does have the passive effects to our life. On the one hand, if you compare yourself with the one who is weaker than you, you will be so satisfied with the current situation that you will lose the ambition. On the other hand, compared with the ones stronger than you, you can not find the confidence.

However, every coin has two sides, online shopping also has shortcomings. We maybe buy some fake products online because of lacking of the face to face communication with sellers. What’s more, the delivery will increase the risk of items’ damage.
然而，每个硬币都有两面，网上购物也有其缺点。在网上我们可能会买到一些假的产品因为无法面对面与卖家沟通。更重要的是，物流也会增加商品损坏的风险。
Weighing up these two arguments, I prefer the former, because shopping on the internet has become more and more important to us in our daily life. We should follow the footsteps of the times.

The basic and important part of studying English is spelling. Unfortunately, many students don't pay attention to it. Thus, students' skills of spelling are increasingly worse. Sometimes even an easy word could be spelled wrong, but they don't seem to realize their mistakes.

Phenomenon of ignoring spelling is worthy of deeply consideration. In the first place, they appear to have some problems in the way of learning English. Some false methods resulted in students’ neglecting to spell. In the second place, as we all know, students' pressure and burden are so heavy that we even can't imagine. They couldn’t have enough time to focus on spelling. Las, lacking of supervision from teachers and parents contributed to this phenomenon.

For the sake of changing this condition, as far as I'm concerned, teachers should emphasis on the importance of spelling, and take some effective measures to improve students' skills of spelling. More importantly, students must think highly of spelling if they want to study English well.

Nowadays, when we talk about Macao, we all know that it belongs to China. But a long time ago, it’s robbed by Portuguesa. At the midnight of December 20, 1999, the
Portuguese and China government held a handover ceremony at the Macao cultural center, which meant Chinese government has resumed the exercise of sovereignty over Macao
and Macao returned to the motherland. As it is a great thing in the journey of China
achieves the great cause of reunification, people make December 20th every year as the returning anniversary of Macao.
如今，只要我们说起澳门的时候，我们都知道它是属于中国的。但是很久以前，它是被葡萄牙占领的。1999年12月20日零时，中葡两国政府在澳门文化中心举行政权交接仪式，中国政府对澳门恢复行使主权，澳门回归祖国。由于这在中华民族实现统一大业的旅途中的一盛举，所以大家把每年的12月20日定为澳门回归纪念日。

12月25号是圣诞节，这个节日源自西方国家，是为了纪念耶稣的生辰。在《圣经》里，据记载，耶稣拯救人们与困境，他是上帝的儿子，他为了救人们而受折磨而死。耶稣很伟大，西方国家的每个人都知道他的故事。虽然圣诞节属于西方国家，但是现在它已经成为了全球性的节日。在中国，我们可以看到这个日子越来越受欢迎，圣诞树在商店里售卖，有很多的派对来庆祝圣诞节。在那天，家人聚集在一起，吃晚饭和火鸡，分享喜悦。这是让人们聚集在一起的好机会，是西方人最重要的节日，就像中国的新年。

Christmas Eve is coming soon, it is on December 24, the day before Christmas. At first, Christmas is very popular in western country, as the world gets globalized, Christmas Eve become a worldwide festival. On that day, people decorate the tree, families have dinner, all the members get together, chatting and singing while sitting around the stove. People have a lot of activities on that night, the young like to have party or masquerade, they hold the party all the night, celebrating the coming of the Christmas. For kids, it is a tradition that they put stockings in the chimney, the Santa Claus will bring them gifts that night. Actually, the gifts that the kids get are from their parents, the Santa Claus is their parents. Christmas Eve is like Chinese New Year’s Eve, both are important, the culture between Chinaand western countries has something in common.
平安夜很快就要到来了，这在圣诞节的前天——12月24号。一开始，圣诞节在西方国家很流行，随着全球化的发展，平安夜成为了世界性的节日。在那天，人们装饰圣诞树，家人吃晚饭，所有的成员聚集在一起，坐在火炉旁，聊天，唱歌。夜晚人们有很多的活动，年轻人喜欢参加派对或者假面舞会，派对进行一整晚，庆祝圣诞节的到来。对于小孩子来说，他们把长筒袜房子烟囱里，这是一个传统，圣诞老人就会在晚上给他们带来礼物。实际上，孩子们得到的礼物是父母给的，圣诞老人就是他们的父母。平安夜就像中国的除夕夜，两个都很重要，中国和西方国家的文化有相同性。
冬至The Winter Solstice

On December 22, 2013, the day is the Winter Solstice, it is an important day in China, it becomes a tradition. More than 2500years ago, Chinese people had detected this day by measuring the sun. What is special on the day? The answer is that the daytime lasts the shortest while the night lasts the longest of the year. It means the new round of the solar term, the Winter Solstice is the earliest. As an old tradition, people treat that day a grand day, they celebrate it. In the north, most people eat dumplings, while in the south, people have rice dumpling and boiled dumpling. Though people celebrate in a different way, they share the same happiness, family get together and have a big dinner. Winter Solstice gives family a chance to get reunion, the young come home to have a chat with parents and promote their communication.

世界足球日的来源 The Origin of World Football Day

Nowadays, football has become one of the most popular entertainment sports for human beings. In the daily life, people ranging from kids to adults play football when they have spare time. It can help people relax and gain a healthy body. But not too many people know the special meaning of December 9th every year. It is World Football Day. It is because of the demonstration of students in December 9th, 1935. Under the leadership and organization of China Communist Party and leadership, Peiping Students Federation leading the students in Peiping city, which was more than 6000 held demonstrations. The students shouted the slogans of “overthrow Japanese imperialism,” "stop the civil war, and close ranks". Their demonstration resulted in a new upsurge of nation-wide Anti-Japanese Democratic Movement. In order to memorize this student movement, the United Nations made December 9th as World Football Day in 1978.
如今，足球已经成为最受人们欢迎的娱乐体育运动之一。在日常生活中，从小孩到大人有空的时候都会踢踢足球。它可以帮助人们放松，获得健康。但却没多少人知道每年的十二月九日的特别意义。这一天是世界足球日。这是源于1935年12月9日的学生游行。在中国共产党的组织和领导下，北平市学生联合会率领北平市6000多名学生举行示威游行。学生们

It was already late when we set out for the next town, fifteen miles away on the other side of the hills. It got dark soon; we drove fast along the narrow winding road that led to the hills. We couldn't identify any sign of the town marked on the map. Suddenly the car stopped. We had run out of petrol. Therefore, although we had little food with us, we decided to spend the night in the car.
在我们动身前往下一个镇的时候已经很晚了，那个镇在山的另一边离我们十五英里远。天黑得很快；我们沿着狭窄曲折的道路往山上的方向把车开得飞快。我们在地图上找不到去那个镇的任何标志。汽车突然停了下来。我们的汽油用完了。所以，虽然我们只有一点点食物，我们还是决定在车里过夜。
Our meal finished very soon. I went to sleep at once. But my companion Bill who was a poor sleeper went for a walk up the hills. From the top of the hill he saw the lights of the town we were looking for. We unloaded all our luggage and pushed the car to the top of the hill at once. Then we went back to the luggage, loaded the car again and set off down the hill. We reached the town less than a quarter, and found a hotel quite easily.

Now people in significant numbers are beginning to compare themselves with others. They harbor the idea that comparison can not only make them realize the differences between them and others, but also make them strive. They retreat surpassing others as success.
现在很多人都拿自己和别人比较。他们怀着这样的想法，对比不仅能让他们意识到自己与他人之间的差异，也能使他们更加努力。他们把超越他人作为成功。
Opinions vary from person to person. Some people take the attitude that comparing ourselves with others does have the passive effects to our life. On the one hand, if you compare yourself with the one who is weaker than you, you will be so satisfied with the current situation that you will lose the ambition. On the other hand, compared with the ones stronger than you, you can not find the confidence.
不同的人对此有不同的看法。有些人认为把自己与他人相比对我们的生活有消极影响。一方面，如果你把自己和比你弱的人相比，你会满足于现状，从而丢失了野心。另一方面，与那些比你强的人相比，就会失去信心。 All in all, every coin has two sides. So we should not compare us with others blindly. But, we can compare ourselves with ourselves before. Only in this way, can we find out our advantages and weakness.

网上购物让我们的生活变得更加方便和舒适。首先，在网上购物可以节省大量的时间，这样他们就有更多的精力和时间花在学习上了。第二，互联网为消费者提供了各种各样的商品，而且我们还可以节省很多钱。
However, every coin has two sides, online shopping also has shortcomings. We maybe buy some fake products online because of lacking of the face to face communication with sellers. What’s more, the delivery will increase the risk of items’ damage.
然而，每个硬币都有两面，网上购物也有其缺点。在网上我们可能会买到一些假的产品因为无法面对面与卖家沟通。更重要的是，物流也会增加商品损坏的风险。
Weighing up these two arguments, I prefer the former, because shopping on the internet has become more and more important to us in our daily life. We should follow the footsteps of the times.
权衡这两种观点，我更倾向于前者因为网上购物在我们日常生活中越来越重要了。我们应该要跟上时代的脚步。
应不应该留意拼写？Should Attention Be Given to Spelling?

The basic and important part of studying English is spelling. Unfortunately, many students don't pay attention to it. Thus, students' skills of spelling are increasingly worse. Sometimes even an easy word could be spelled wrong, but they don't seem to realize their mistakes.
学习英语最基本和最重要的一部分就是拼写。不幸的是，很多学生都没留意这一点。因此，学生的拼写技能越来越糟糕。有时甚至连一个简单的字都可以拼错，但他们似乎并没有意识到自己的错误。
Phenomenon of ignoring spelling is worthy of deeply consideration. In the first place, they appear to have some problems in the way of learning English. Some false methods resulted in students’ neglecting to spell. In the second place, as we all know, students' pressure and burden are so heavy that we even can't imagine. They couldn’t have enough time to focus on spelling. Las, lacking of supervision from teachers and parents contributed to this phenomenon.
忽视拼写这个现象是值得深思的。首先，他们似乎在英语学习方法中有些问题。一些错误的方法导致学生忽视拼写。第二，我们都知道学生的压力和负担很重，甚至是我们无法想象的。
他们没有足够的时间来关注拼写。最后，缺乏老师和家长的监督促成了这一现象。
For the sake of changing this condition, as far as I'm concerned, teachers should emphasis on the importance of spelling, and take some effective measures to improve students' skills of spelling. More importantly, students must think highly of spelling if they want to study English well.
为改变这种状况，我觉得教师应该强调拼写的重要性，采取一些有效的措施来提高学生的拼写技能。更重要的是，如果学生想学好英语，他们就得认可它。
