The 2010 Asian Games are scheduled to take place in Guangzhou, China from November 12 to November 27, 2010.
Guangzhou is the second city in China to host the Games after Beijing in 19903. In Doha, Qatar on July1, 2004, Guangzhou was awarded the right to host the Games . A total of 476 events in 42 sports will be held, making the 16th Asian Games the largest one in history. The games will also be co-hosted by Dongguan, Foshan and Shanwei, the three neighboring cities.
There are 53 competition stadiums and 17 training stadiums available for the Games. Among these stadiums, the biggest one is the Guangdong Olympic S tadium which can hold more than 80,000 audience.
